Saturday Morning Sangha

These morning practices consist of traditional Yoga, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra and Meditation and are a great way to focus upon and progress you own practice. Plus time for discussion and reflection on aspects of your personal practice, Ayurveda and how this related to our practice.

Six weeks of self care with Yoga and Ayurveda ONLINE

Monday evenings 7- 9pm
October 12, 19, 26 and November 9, 16, 23

Join us for this six week course that will each week include one hour of Yoga, 30 minutes of meditation and 30 minutes of discussion.

Each week I will introduce you to another aspect of self care according to Ayurveda, simple things which you can then choose to incorporate into your daily routine. Every week will focus upon a different aspect of Yoga and Ayurveda and this topic will also be the focus of our discussion time. A handout will be emailed out after each session with a summary of the discussion and an Ayurvedic recipe for you to try each week.

There is the opportunity during the course to book a 121 consultation at a 50% reduction fo the usual cost. 
Investment of £54 for the six weeks, including all handouts and recipes.

Cookery workshop at ‘Growing for Life’, Paignton.

Saturday 24th October. 10am - 3pm

Spend a morning helping to prepare and cook and healthy delicious traditional Ayurvedic lunch.
Discuss and learn more about the basic principles of Ayurvedic food as wells what suits your individual constitution (dosha).
All food will be sugar, meat, egg, free, gluten and dairy free.
We will eat together before a short group walk in the afternoon.

Womens' moon circle

Sunday 15th November
3pm - 6pm

Venue: Yoga Torquay
A supportive moon gathering to nurture creativity and freedom. At the time of new moon all things are possible. From the darkness creativity and freedom flourish. We come together at the time of the dark moon to nurture our creativity, to support one another in our journey, to share wisdom and life experiences. This is about support, nurturing and enabling you to find freedom and reach your full potential.

The circle will also enjoy some self nurturing Yoga NIdra and and gentle movement practices. 
Women of all ages and life experiences are welcome.

Refreshments will be provided (light delicious treats and herbal tea) for us to share together.
Please bring along an open heart and a creative untamed mind!

Full moon Yoga Nidra

Sunday 29 November
3pm - 5pm

Venue: Yoga Torquay
Experience deep-rest and self care. When we are near to a full moon we often have disturbed sleep. Yoga Nidra helps to calm the mind and emotions, promotes healthy restful sleep and calms anxiety, it is a great remedy to a stressful life. Yoga Nidra takes you into a liminal space where the body and mind deeply rest and restore themselves.

This practice is done entirely lying down, in a very comfortable place, and is suitable for anyone.
We will enjoy a total of three nidra practice during the two hours, as well as some very gentle nurturing movement, tasty snacks and refreshments.

Yoga and Ayurveda..

Saturday 7th November

Venue: Lotus Loft, Exeter
Morning session: 10am - 1pm
Yoga and Ayurveda for you.

Yoga practice to include Asana, Pranayama and Meditation.
Yoga is part of the Ayurvedic system, therefore it needs to be adapted for us all individually, once size does not fit all. 
We will begin with a brief discussion on how everyone is feeling, consideration of the general group and individual energy. Practices offered will then be tailored to respond to the individual and group needs. Therefore some practices will be experienced as a group and I will also give you some individual suggestions. Pranayama will form at least one third of the session (one hour).

Afternoon session 2pm - 5pm
Ayurveda, keeping it real. 
How to apply this ancient art in your daily life to promote health, wellness, immunity and energy.
Individual time to complete your constitutional questionnaire and analyse in a group debate!
Discussion on our general health and wellness, prevention not cure!
Ayurvedic approaches to diet, lifestyle, how can we realistically embrace this in our western culture!?
Simple movement practice followed by Yoga Nidra. (Warning, there will be laughter and humour!)

A day retreat for you

Sunday 20th December

Venue: Lotus Loft, Exeter
It's been one hell of a year! Let's enjoy some time out together, with like minded people.
You are asked to come along for the whole day in order to fully rest, restore and enjoy being nurtured.
Please bring some lunch with you to share.

The morning session 10am -1pm will be Yoga Asana, pranayama and Yoga Nidra, settling, grounding and balancing.
The afternoon, 2pm - 5pm, will be a discussion group on issues which are helpful focus to consider, such as empowering ourselves to self care and how we can best do this in the present circumstances. We then enjoy and Yoga Nidra practice, followed by restorative Yoga and ending with another Yoga Nidra. Emphasis will be placed on our Sankalpa, or intention, for the year ahead. ( Warning, there will be laughter and humour!)
