Friday 14 - Tuesday 18 October (4 nights, 3 full days) At The Cleave, Lee, Ilfracombe, Devon EX34 8LW

This retreat is offered as a very traditional option, we will be embracing these ancient healing arts in the way in which they are fully intended to be practiced. Practices and treatments will be tailored specifically to the individuals who attend.This retreat will be uncompromising in its offering of Authentic Ayurveda and Yoga. We will be using the practices in a focused way alongside the recommended daily routine and with a strict Ayurvedic diet. This results in a feeling of clarity, equanimity and peace in the bodymind. Please read below for more details.

Before we begin Prior to the retreat you will be invited to a zoom session for 90 minutes to meet the other participants and to discuss any preparation for the retreat. This will involve making recommended necessary changes to your diet in advance at home before coming as this will aid the cleanse process.
There will be a WhatsApp group for us to discuss and share information. Following the retreat the WhatsApp group can continue to offer support and guidance. You will be given information on how to continue this approach in your everyday life. Please read below for the detailed schedule.

Friday 7th October 7pm Group zoom, introductions and discussion.

Friday 14th October, arrivals from 3pm onwards

  • First evening, arrive and settle in. Introductions and gentle grounding practices.
  • 6pm Light supper.
  • 7pm Expectations, why are we here? Followed by Pranayama and meditation.
  • 830pm Retire and silence

    Days 1 and 2, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th October
  • Silence until breakfast
  • 7 - 845am Yoga, pranayama and mediation
  • 830am Breakfast
  • 10am - 1pm treatments or free time
  • 130pm Lunch
  • 4 - 6pm Workshops on relevant aspects of Ayurveda, 1. Cleansing, 2. Ayurveda for self care in modern times.
  • 6pm Light supper
  • 7pm Pranayama and meditation
  • 8pm Retire and silence

    Day 3, Monday 17th October
  • Silence until breakfast
  • 7 - 845am Yoga, pranayama and mediation
  • 830am Breakfast
  • 10am - 1pm treatments or free time
  • 130pm Lunch
  • 230 - 5pm Treatments or free time
  • 6pm Light supper
  • 7pm Pranayama and meditation

    Final morning, Tuesday 18th October
  • 7 - 845am Yoga, pranayama and mediation
  • 830am Breakfast
  • 10am - 12pm Walk to beach, reflection of retreat experience.
  • Midday, depart

    There will be maximum of 4 participants on this retreat.
    The Yoga will be therapeutic and adapted to suit individual needs. This will include giving you specific practices to continue at home afterwards.
    The food will be purely Ayurvedic and very simple in order to aid the cleansing process.
    We will be following the Ayurvedic daily routine of Dinacharya, with lunch as the main meal and a light supper of soup.
    There will be Ayurvedic herbs, tailored to individual needs.
    Each participant will receive 2 Ayurvedic body treatments, a full body oil massage (Abyangha) and a second treatment which will be decided during your stay and designed to enhance the retreat and detox experience.

Everyone is asked to assist with keeping the place tidy, however you will feel tired and so please do rest as much as you need. You will have your own private space and you can use this as you wish during the day.

The Venue Lee Bay is on the North Devon Jurassic coastal path and offers a variety of lovely coastal walks to enjoy. The beach is a short stroll from the venue, which is set in 3 acres of ancient woodland. It is incredibly peaceful with a beautiful gentle energy. The guest accommodation is in three beautiful secluded cabins and one room is available in the house. Each cabin has its own deck and outdoor furniture for those quieter moments of reflection. Shared (between all cabins) bathroom facilities are in a further cabin. Mealtimes are in the main house and adjacent is the modern studio with infinity deck. The host of the main house is Trevor, a lovely older gentleman. He will be present at mealtimes and is a mine of information about the land and surrounding area of outstanding beauty. Please be aware that access to the cabins is from a steep 100 metre woodland path, with handrails and lighting, lanterns are also provided.
